The Distance Casting event on Saturday drew a big crowd of FAOL
people and the guides from the DRC. A very serious competition with
two judges at the casting position, and two more to make sure the casts
were within the boundaries, and then to measure each cast. Each caster
had a total of 5 minutes to cast. 18 men and 1 woman entered.
It was followed by the Broom Casting Championship, won by Ray
DuBois! He beat Castwell with his own broom. This was great fun,
use your mouse-over for names of the folks.
The broom is something else. It doesn't 'load' so all the energy has to
be created by using the double haul! Thanks folks for giving it a try, we
all enjoyed watching. We don't have photos of everyone yet, more to come.
