Lets see, I guess my favorite rod is my Gatti FR 905 3PA, while my Folstaff would probably head the accessory list, just for the number of times it’s kept my backside dry.
There is a fine line between fly fishing, and standing in the water waving a stick.

Two weeks ago I got a Winston Boron IIx 6 wt, so that has to be my favorite now. That rod is a cannon, but for around here I don’t need a cannon (although I will when I chase Susquehana smallies). Yet it still presents a size 18 dry fly naturally and with finesse.
As far as an accessory goes, well I think ya’ll know what my favorite is.

Dot Man backed in to a good point…most will respond with the rod they got last. I am no exception. Orvis Far and Fine.
If I was reading the specs on the rod, not knowing its favorable history, I would not give it a second look (7’9" 5 wt) but Orvis did this one right.
The rod and I have connected spritually, it does everything I ask it to do - its amazing.
Not a distance rod - 40-50’ of line is all it wants but inside that distance it is one of the best rods I have ever fished. It makes me a better fisherman. If I had bought the rod 30 years ago I would not own as many rods as I do today.
