Your best rod & one other accessorie?

JC…what, get a FnF 30 years ago? Your probably right.
I know you and the LF have one of the first ones ever made. They are probably one of the longest continuously produced graphite rods.

I don’t know if it’s my best rod, but the one I fish with the most is my 8’ 5wt St Croix PG. Accessory would be my kayak.

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. S

ROD: Cabela’s 5-piece 8 1/2-ft. 3-wt. Stowaway. (But my “favorite rod” is subject to change without notice.)

ACCESSORY: Curved nose stainless steel forceps. Without forceps, many bluegills would be impossible to unhook.

Rod: Scott SAS 8’6" 5 wt…like many of you, this is my most recent addition…but, it casts like a dream…I’m getting a new 3 wt. soon and I’m sure that’ll be my favorite…

accessory: Full Sail Brewing fishing hat, don’t leave home without it…oh yeah, it works great at keeping the sun and rain off my head as well as a place to put my flies to dry them off when it’s not raining…

~Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn’t drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, “It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.”

Rod: Orvis 7 1/2 Battenkill bamboo with CFO III reel.

Accessory: It’s hard to pick one but I’ll have to say the little magnet that I keep pinned to my vest. Second choice would be a Fly Trap.

Sage Sp 489-5 and my old Simm’s guide vest!

tyflier,

I’ve built that exact blank for at least 4 of my family/friends. Isn’t it great?

For me:

Dan Craft Sig V 8’3" 3/4 weight that I built myself. The best rod I’ve ever cast (and it looks good).
The best accessory would be whatever fishing buddy is with me on that day. It is just more fun when you have someone to share it with.

Sage SPL 3wt. 8’ 9" 3 piece.

Oh man! that rod’s so sweet, it’s like “The Cheesecake Factory’s” Original Cheesecake with Rasberry Sauce all over it. Mmmmmm!!! Can you taste it? Kinda makes you want some right now!!!

Oh ya! and an accessory that is Absolutely Priceless!

a Ty-Rite Jr. to hold those dog gone tiny flies in sizes so small, you need a microscope to tie them to your line.

“I’ve often wondered why it is that so many anglers spend so much money on,and pay so much attention to.the details on the wrong end of the fly line.If they took as much care in selecting or tying their flies as they did in the selection of the reel and rod,They might be able to gain the real extra edge that makes it possible to fool a fish that has,in fact, seen it all before” A.K.Best

Everyone wants to excel in this sport but at the same time we let traditionalists place restrictions on our tactics, methods, and ideas. I always assumed that fly fishing was a sport that allowed imagination, creation, adaptation, investigation, dedication, education, revelation? : Fox Statler, On Spinners (Not the dainty Dry Fly kind) “Spinner’d Minner Fly”

Best rod is kind of hard since I fish skinny waters, big waters (fresh and salt) and still waters, it ill be bamboo nonetheless. but I’d say my ride is my best accessorie as long as my Weimaraner is in it.

My best rod is the one I’m selling on the for sale forum. Its a Gatti FR 804 3PA.

I love it, but need the money to afford a rod I’m building that I will get me into some 'boo.

Best other accessory would be my eye glasses. Progressive lenses (bi-focals) with Brown polarized and anti glare coating.
