"In Golden Light" By DP Salamone We can gaze at stars. Wish wishes that matter only to us. But to embrace friendship in our hearts, Matters more than fancy lusts.
We can dream of gold-filled pockets, Lined with silk of silver thread, However, matter does it not that we are rich, When we are friendless in the end.
As the years progress in fashion, Time evades mending conversation. Greed displaced by lonely passion, For a friend at arms to trust.
Only when that friend is gone, True feelings will awaken. Now too late to make amends, Forever now your time forsaken.
Know what matters on streams of life, As you cast those lines so tight. 'Tis friendship and compassion, That life begets in golden light. ~ DP Salamone
