Prayers needed for Kevin

Ok folks, update time. First, some may be confused. The original diagnosis from a coue of weeks ago was emphysema. I don't have it. This is stage 4 lung cancer.

For the good news. It's treatable. I went to radiation oncology today and got my radioactive spider bites, tiny black tattoo'd dots to mark where they are to shoot me with the radioactive laser beams. Radiation starts tomorrow. The goal is to open up some Passages and improve function in that lung. There will be 5 treatments. We move to chemo from there.

This is the extent of what I know at this time but that changes from hour to hour.

How is it that it came on so quickly or was it that you thought you had one thing and after further test it was dicovered diffrently? Hang in Kevin, things might get worse before they get better but, we're all pulling for you.

NT1; yes. This had been diagnosed as emphysema 2-3 weeks back. I needed an X-ray for confirmation. I was going to come in Monday but I believe that had I gone to bed at home Sunday night I would not be talking with you now.

This diagnosis was a complete surprise.

I have to admit I was feeling pretty sorry for myself this morning. I am feeling much better this afternoon. I have had my first round od radiation and that should start wiring soon.

Kevin, I know I am guilty of doing just that, This time I need to mention the fact that I do pray for each of those on the board who request it. I need to post it more often so as to lift the spirits of those who need to be lifted up.
