I think my handle speaks for itself. I enjoy tying flies.
As far as a signature (some saying below my name), the one I wanted to use was taken and thus I have none.
I think the question about signatures was asked to my on another string. My signature is from Rio Bravo, my favorite movie, I went into detail on the sound off board under quote of the week. My user name is:
zim my last name is zimmer
rx I am a pharmacist
17 my high school and college baseball number
I should probably add something about fishing, but I have used this as my email address for along time.

That’s WHAT I got.
It was a cold and rainy night…wait a minute, that was another story.
Flats Dude came about when I attended a party of a bunch of flyfishing buddies wearing my famous watermelon colored flats shirt. One of my buddies stood up, put his sunglasses on (it was night time) and says, “Hey, it’s the Flats Dude!” I guess it kinda stuck.
In as far as my signature, another friend of mine emailed that saying to me and said it sounded like me…I kinda liked it so I stole it!!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and exclaiming, “Wow, what a ride!”
Flats Dude, where is your signature from, meaning who said it, was it Red Skelton (ha ha, bad joke from the other board)? I have heard it before but I never knew who said it.

My handle you could say is from the old tv show but it’s not.
Growing up in a small town (at the time, not now) ours was one of the biggest families around. My father was a scout leader and just about all of us were in scouts about the same time. When we would pull up to the meeting hall and 10 of us would pile out of the van you would always hear one of the other leaders say “here comes FTROOP”. As for the 7, you guessed it , it’s my number in the line.
As for my signature, I use that saying alot in work, it kind of fits my occupation. There is another saying that goes hand in hand with it “If I never made a mistake you would have to pay me a lot more money”
“If it was easy anybody could do it”
Timothy S. Furey Sr.
Chris, how much do you want for the rights on that saying, there are about a million people here that I would like to say that to when I ask them to do something.

I was going to use d. micus as well, but it was already taken. Besides, I didn’t want any one getting the two of us confused. And I am not as dull as my twin.
I sincerely believe I stole it from something I read, … but I can’t for the life of me remember where or when.
The team I was with at my last job was a top notch bunch of foresters. I drilled ‘em so hard and so fast, … after a few months, … when the brumble sessions would start, … I’d simply say, "Well, … ya’ know, … if it were easy…"
The whole gang would chime in with the rest.
Just like attitude checks.
Me “Gimme an attitude check”
The Team “We hate this place”
Me “Gimme a positive check”
The Team “We positively hate this place”
Me “Gimme a negative check”
The Team “We don’t like this place”
Me “SitRep”
The Team “F*ck-It!!”
Always got 'em rolling on the ground and laughing back to the swamps, black flies, cold chow 'n warm beer
evil dave has a handle bar mustache that he twirls with his finger tips when ever he’s about to do something evil (like tie a young maiden to the railroad tracks)
Handle - umm - that’s me - usually leave my handle in full name (darrellmyskiw) on other sites I visit … getting too long to type (fat finger scenario) … finger me plain - but its me - don’t care much for hiding behind pseudonyms as some tend to do.
Signature - comes from the book of Proverbs (1-5) … I change it from time to time (sometimes to match my twisted frame of mind at work) … sometimes for some other half-witted comment or tidbit of praise or wisdom …
a wise man will hear and increase in learning;
and a man of understanding will acquire wise council
Handle? Well, when I signed in I thought there would be a place to set a ‘screen name’ so I used first initial/last name as the unsername, and well, once more got stuck with it. (Been my e-mail at almost every company I have worked for.)
Signature? I have changed it a few times, but not found anything I am ready to stick with, so I usually don’t even display it. One of these days I will find just the right one. . .
