Austinite, you definitely have an important link to your grandfather. I never knew my great grandfather, but I was given some of his tools (passed down to my grandfather, then to my father, and then to me). Every time I use one of these, I feel connected to all of them. It is an unexplainable experience, and I feel sure you will experience the same feelings. Enjoy them, and savor the connections.

Your such a lucky man, I’m so jealous you wouldn’t even believe it. My father was a louse, so my grandfathers stuff is gone, he died before I was born.

Please tell us what you learn and pictures if you can…please…please…please…

The only thing I know for certain about my grandfather was that he was a peacable man who loved to fly fish, and was once arrested for beating the tar out of a man who happened to hit his wife in front of him.
