Yellow Snowshoe Rabbits Feet

Okay, I’ve found every color under the sun but this one. I tie sulphur (PMD for you Westerners) patterns a lot and would like some yellow snowshoe rabbits foot. Anyone know a source? I’m no longer allowed to dye my own due to an unfortunate accident with the cat and a new carpet.

I got some from this guy on eBay, a good deal: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=44913&item=7120302694& rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V[/url:e96b4]

I’ve never used this one, but you could give it a try: http://haresfeet.50megs.com/snowshoefeet.htm[/url:e96b4]

Good luck,

Flytyer,

Most of the large on-line or off-line catalog shops have what you want.

If however you have a natural snow shoe foot, just get a pack of ‘Lemonade’ Koolaid. Mix in a cup of very hot water and add the foot. In about 15 minutes you’ll have a nice yellow foot. For your own safety, peace and harmony, just heat the water inside and do the rest outside.

Many PMD’s have pale wings that the fish cannot tell are yellowish. I suggest bleached rabbit foot which is kind of pale cream. Probably would suffice

Well, out east we have sulfurs with a yellow wing and also the Golden Drake. Imagine a canary yellow (head to tail, wings included) size 8 drake floating by you. You’ll never forget it.

If you have a Coleman stove dye the rabbits feet outside. Easy to do and if something gets spilled no big deal. You can hang them outside to dry to. Ron
