Fish my way through Yellowstone!
Another pack trip to Colorado, and a fly-in trip to Canada.
And as for me, I want to make darn sure HE knows I meant no harm. And then,I’ll go fishing with all my greatgrandchildrens children.

I have had the privilege of fishing for pike at a place called Amisk (sp?) Lake in Flin Flon. I think it’s in Manitoba…right on the boarder with Saskatchawan. It’s about as far north as the paved roads go. Lots and lots of walleye and pike. I caught a 25 pounder(pike) and Dad caught one that was between 35 and 40 pounds. It’s one of those places where you can wake up the morning after fishing and have such sore arms from fighting fish that you won’t be able to tie your boots…Best Regards…
Here are just a few of mine:
Teach my son and daughter to flyfish,
Teach my son and daughter to tie flies,
Meet JC and the LF in-person,
Visit Al Campbell’s memorial bench,
Reach 1 trillion posts on FAOL,
Give a hug to Betty Hiner,
Make it to a few FAOL fish-ins and wet a line with the finest folks on earth,
Flyfish Alaska,
Flyfish Russia,
Flyfish Idaho,
Flyfish Montana,
Flyfish Canada,
Build a rod,
Craft my own landing net,
Learn to tie Atlantic Salmon flies,
… .
I have fished in Yellowstone park many times and it is heaven!

Hopefully I have a long time before I kick the bucket, but before I do I would just like to fish the same clear, uncrowded, and undeveloped waters I do now with my children and grand-children before these same waters are gone.
My list contains this:

or Why didn’t I …
Kola, Russia
Flats fish for bonz , tarpon etc
Attend the Michigan fish-in and the Sowbug event
Go to a big flyfishing show.
Meet everyone on faol.
Meet Lefty, Joan, and Gorden Honey
Cast a full line, just once
Fish Weipa Australia
See the Salmon and steelhead return to the Okanagan, all five species that used to spawn here but no longer do. ( its supposed to be in the works )
Get my picture taken sitting on Al Campbell’s Memorial bench
Attend the Lowell Idaho fish in and not have to go home early for once.
Catch a big catfish
Float the Amazon
Catch a Brown trout.
Thats spout it for now.
DShock… your kill’in me!
nice Yellowstone photo’s thanks … Doug (also)
Very interesting thread! Wish, I’d noticed it sooner, than today!
Now, for those with a LONG list of things to do, before you’re worm food… narrow it down to say 18 to 24 months…as in: “that’s ALL the time you have left”~??
With that, time limit, all I wish to accomplish…
A most interesting thread. Thank you for starting it.
As others have expressed, I’d love to fish Alaska. I must admit, though, the the drive from TX. to Colorado seems to get longer every year, so perhaps I’d better get that Alaska trip done soon.
I’d like to end war and have everyone live in peace and harmony. No wait, that’s my answer for the Miss America contest not my bucket list.
Actually, I’m pretty happy right where I am and pretty content with the things that I’ve done. I suppose that I would most enjoy meeting a few of the famous fly tyers like Dave Whitlock, Skip Morris, Jim Schollmeyer, and Randal Kaufmann. I’ve also always wanted to throw a live hand grenade (not at any fish—honest). 8T
