What are you doing this weeekend??

So I’m just wondering what enyone out there is doing this weekend??? Not that I want to come hang out and catch some of your fish, just trying to live viariously through you all and the time you might (or might not) be spending on the water. So what are you doing this weekend… fishing or not what are your plans?

I have two activities planned. One is to put my yakanoe into the Hiawassee, and/or the Ocoee rivers and fish until I can’t stand it anymore. The ither is to study for my test next week in my CE classes. I graduate next week (I hope!). I may split the difference and go catfishing, where I can both study, and fish at the same time.

I’m going to stop off at the creek on my way in from work tomorrow. I get off at 11:00. Then I’m going to o’reilly’s to get some brake shoes for my wife’s Avalanche. Putting them on Sat AM, then change the oil in the roadster.
Sunday, I have to put a new wax ring under a toilet, and grill some chicken breasts for supper. No clue what else I might do.

This weekend begins our Long Beach Island, NJ beach vacation. Hoping for some bluefish for the BBQ grill.

Yard work. It never goes away. Then maybe BBQ a salmon.

  1. Saturday–Four year old fly fishing Granddaughter Tori & Grandpa are NOT fishing…she claims to be out of, & NEED more peanut butter fudge. I will pick her up early so Grandpa & she can make fudge Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon will be spent with Son Ben’s 3…Tia, Erika, & Connor, who are spending the night. Saturday at 8pm, the Brown’s 1st exhibition game is on, so Grandpa has the “big” tv reserved for that.
  2. Sunday–My family is coming in from out of State (Lowell, Massachusetts) & we are spending the day with them & of course, all 3 of our adult children’s families to include all 7 Grandchildren. As usual, I’ll be the idiot playing with the little ones all day & dragging myself to bed Sunday night.

No fishing this weekend, but still lots of Blessings!

Maybe doing some fishing tomorrow night (if the boat gets fixed) then spending the rest of the weekend doing nothing.:smiley:

Hanging out with the wife and son. Need to make a trip up to Yosemite
to pickup the boat from camp. We had our summer camp last week
and I left the boat at the camp.

I always feel better when I have a truckload of kids to take back to their homes not to have the boat in tow.

I will be spending the major part of the weekend rewriting and rechecking my syllabus and study guides for my classes in Introductory Psychology and the History of Psychology. BUT very early in the morning, well before sunrise on Saturday and maybe even Sunday too, I will be sneaking out to Lake Hartwell in Upstate South Carolina and attempting to land some obscenely overgrown LMB and brim. Failing that, I will gladly catch and release any fish, regardless of size, that wishes to cooperate with my fishing effort. I will be off the lake and back home well before the jet ski set and the water skiers are even finishing their first cup of coffee. 8T :slight_smile:

I’ve been fishing for carp locally but this weekend will take a relatively short 110 mile trip to chase trout. The stream banks are overgrown with vegitation and the weeds are taller than I am, and the bugs and humidity will be high and I am really looking forwrd to it. :cool:

Well, it’s the weekend, so I’ll be working most the time. I’ll be hitting my customers up for fishing stories so I’ll know at least somebody’s getting out to the water. Hopefully I’ll be getting a chance to say hi to Quivera Kid when he’s up and few others of you might wander in, you never know.

Tuber-- I’ve had the fudge. I don’t blame Tori one little bit!

I sitti’n here thinking, so many options, right now the coffee I’m drinking is good, this thread is a good idea, Tuber seems to have a min. by min. schedule lined up…:slight_smile: I’v been doing so much lately, I may just take a nap this weekend and fit work and other stuff around it…:wink:

Saturday afternoon I am going to take Quivira Kid fishing at a few of the local lakes. Sunday I have no idea yet. If saturday is very good I might go again.

I’ll be doing what I do most weekends. Taking care of my father.
He has advanced ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) and requires 24 hour care
The ALS Association
I’ll be taking him to a play Saturday afternoon and afterwards maybe we’ll stop off somewhere to watch people fish. He likes that.
Then… margaritas :stuck_out_tongue:

Will hit my favorite smallie river bright and early tomorrow. Then after lunch will be doing yard work.

22nd wedding Aniversary this weekend, but I did take the Kayak out last evening to a town lake north of me and caught a Bluegill on a white wooly bugger. First time on this lake with a Kayak.
