Tie your best warm water bug. Anything for smallies, gills, sunfish, crappie, white bass you know all those little devils of the warm waters that are so much fun to catch. I just got a new creek rod and I am raring for the warm up of spring! I will hold this open till March 20th. Flies are due in my mailbox by April 20th. Must have self addressed STAMPED envelope for return because I avoid the post office at all costs.
Here’s a twist ~ best tie (I’m the judge) gets some cool tying material from my bench.
Let me know you are in and what you are tying.

Welcome to the Darkside everyone! Thanks for joining the swap and I can’t wait to fish these flies. Atticafish, we will go to 10 tiers so let me know if you want in.
Creek fishin’ huh… i thought about making either a craw or hellgramite - have to be my 2 favorites for small/skinny moving water. I went with a Dubbed HellGee pattern on a #8 nymph hook. It is kind of a mix between a scud, hellgramite & stonefly. Doesn’t really look like one or the other but ‘passes’ for all three in a pinch and has caught me everything from carp to redhorse to smallmouth.
Mine are done! Whipped 'em up quick after work. This is a super simple pattern… it doesn’t look like much, but I can promise it does catch fish! The crappie and gills around here like it.
Here’s what they’ll look like, except they’re purple with silver eyes!
Flygal, shoot me your address and I will get these out to ya.
