Warmwater Trout?

What kind of warmwater trout is this?;)

Saw a bunch of baby ones, too.

Ha ha, just trying to be funny…it isn’t every day I catch a Black Bullhead on a fly…and certainly not one this big!

That’s a Whisker-Faced Black Brookie! Only place I ever heard of WFBB’s caught on a fly before, was on the Upper West Branch of the Little Stielamohapnacong creek. But nothing near that size!

It’s scientific name is Whiskered Bottomius Feedorious.

And a very nice specimen, I might add.

Nice fish. Never saw one that size.

Rick.

It does have an adipose fin.
