video - Midnight Stalker

The Midnight Stalker is a slender, yet dense, pattern designed to cut through the film and sink to the desired level swiftly. The mobile starling barbs give the pattern ‘life’.

Another elegant simple pattern Hans. Wire has to be one of the most common materials, yet is so under used.

What a wonderful and easy to tie pattern that just screams “eat me”! Thank you so much for sharing it…

Hans, I’ve tied and fished a similar pattern, with fine results. I use green wire, and a small speckled hen neck feather. Nice job as always, Hans.

I think this fly would be a great addition to my spring steelhead box. It should be very effective here in the midwest when the early black stoneflies are hatching.
