Well, my friend must have saw this thread after I began it because he as giving me a lot opf grief about selling it. I called him for 3 days in a row and he never returned my call. I finally ordered the Peak vise, Thursday night, only to have my friend call me (apoligizing profusely the whole time) Friday morning, insisting that iI take the vise at his original offering price. I declined, he insisted, finally i bought ther Renzetti traveller cam model, pedestal base for $80. The way I see it, if I keep both vices, I have paid $200 for about $300 worth of product. If I sell/return one on ebay or elsewhere, I won’t have lost a dime. I very much appreciate all of the posts, and I can’t wait to compare them.

Good for you, m’friend. Enjoy both vises, draw your own conclusions and when the next thread starts requesting a vise recommendation you will be in a position to offer some well founded advice.
