Tying material on the hoof.

I didn’t have to go shopping or on-line to find new and exciting fly tying material. It came to the house. I’m probably going to have to go to his house to get another hank of bison hair however. Anybody got any Manchurian Monkey mane they want to bring by?

Lew, buddy, hope you got enough to share…

If one uses this stuff you may need to rethink using a little spit to roll material onto thread.:???:

Kelly.

Lew; Just how many flies do you want to tie ??? BUT you won’t have to mow the lawn for awhile.

DANG!! with all the hair you sheered off it’s back, sides & belly I guess you ARE set for awhile!:mrgreen:

He’s gettin’ ready for warm weather, and I’ve been ready for two months. I wish he’d hurry and get shed, if it would speed things up. I’m ready for PMD’s. Don’t think we’ll be makin’ any from “Ralphie’s” hair however. Maybe a hairbody emerger, or nymph?

Alright, I’ll bite. WHAT THE HEJJ DOES ONE DO WITH A CAMEL IN IDAHO FALLS???

Mrk

Can’t you think of anything Marco? I mean besides raising fly tying material. This feller is a friend of mine. A farmer/rancher/dairyman, and also just enjoys animals. He owns bison, llamas, donkeys, mules, horses, peacocks, goats, and assorted dogs and cats. He wanted an elephant, but the exotic animals hoops he’d have to jump through were too strenuous. So far, he’s resisted the urge to get into large cats, of which I’m glad. He took the camel to the local elementary school today, to show the kids. They got a real bang out of it. He brought it by to show my wife. She’s disabled, and homebound. She’s the one in the door in the second picture. The camel has a good home, and lots of social interaction. By the way, Marco, me lad. He bought the camel from a guy in Wyoming. Now what would a guy in Wyoming want with a camel!!!:D:confused:

A fly comes to mind… a" humpy".

I like the smile on her face and the twinkle in her eye.

Lew,
I guess “why?” could easily be answered with, “because he can”. I thought there would be a more practical reason BUT, since he bought it in WYOMING, it’s ALL GOOD:)

Mark

We’re slipping people. It took EIGHT posts to get to the Humpy joke! And to think I missed that one as well! Oh Bother!

Can you imagine meeting his pack string as you come over the ridge? Two Australian Shepherds, followed by The man on his horse, leading three big Missouri mules, a Mammoth Jack and three Llamas, followed by his Wife atop “Ralphie” the camel on her custom built camel saddle. I’ve gotta get a picture of that!

When I look at the last post of the face, alll that came to mind was

Irie, Mon. Nice dreds.
