The tupperwear drawers on the left contain my feathers, hides, eggyarns, etc… the drawers on the righ contain my wifes “art/crafts” supplys.
I was going to tell a small fabrication about a very complicated Stone fly pattern that I discovered in India that used Modge Podge, but I couldnt bring myself to do it.
Thanks Dave! I’m going to show this photo to my lovely wife so that she can more fully realize how little tying stuff I actually have.
I envy you (in a good way, though.)
Well it always looks like this, mostly because I tye em and then I fish em…
Happy New year to all…

Mohair leaches, it is a very filmy yarn with lots fluff around it… just trying it out, got to love Value Village finds…
Gadabout,
Yea, I had the photo on the Flytying Forum a couple of years ago when they were doing a similar thread. In fact, one of the members there took the time to scan a bunche of sites for tying setups and then put them together on one post. Here is a link to the post as I imagine a lot of people on this board might like to see it. There are certainly a lot of ideas to be gleaned from some of the setups. You will need to scroll down some to see the photos.
Dave
It is interesting to see how many are neat and tidy compared to how many appear to function in complete mayhem. I noticed that there are not many in the middle.
OK, here’s my mess

I err on the side of mayhem…
Chewy,
I love the peacock herl ‘dispenser’! Classic!!!
It was a decoration, but seems to be missing some feathers…
chewydog,
Sorry, but I would have to put you in the neatnic category! I was going to say slob, but after the first two pictures, your stuff got way to squared away. Besides your tying area looks way better organized then mine AFTER I’ve cleaned it up. Thanks for entering our contest, please try again next year! (which is today) LOL!!!
Best regards, Dave S.
I probably would fall into the neat category, but have a couple of good reasons.
The good reason are as follows
If I leave stuff out and forget to shut the door I have way too much help reorganizing it.
I have managed to get a start on my club’s fly swap - the start to some Birds Nest Depth Charges.
So I am taking note of the other post on the Forum (Normand’s) and will try to contribute more rather than just sitting back and reading.
mine is rather simple
desk

books

material storage

additional storage

Much to organized Norman. How do you find anything? lol.
i cant show the robot! developing technology!

gotta do the “suzie homemaker” chores once in a while
Hey i’m reading the lost symbol right now, and is that “Trout” by Bergman on the bottom shelf I see there? Nice collection Normand
My tying desk is very sad right now. It’s clean, and hasn’t seen flys tyed in months.
