Two-Fer Wet Fly Swap.

Okay, I’m just finishing up the flies for the A to Z swap and started thinking about that great wet fly swap HCMiller ran last year. I’ve been waiting for another and decided to host one myself.

This is a Two-Fer swap, each tier will tie one wingless wet fly (spider, flymph, soft hackle nymph) and one winged wet fly (wings can be quill slips, folded slips, rolled or bunched fibers) of your choice for a total of 24 flies (12 of each). Limit is 12 tiers including me.

Sign up is open and will remain open until April 15th or the swap fills. Flies are not due until May 15th. That’s right, May 15th. We’ve got some international tiers that might want in on this.

Send your flies in a crushproof container, toe tagged with the name of the fly, your name and your screen name, as a minimum. If it’s a fly you invented, better name it quick. Also include a self addressed stamped (not metered) envelope for the return trip or enough US funds to cover the cost of an envelope and postage. (If getting US funds is a problem PM me.)

Any takers out there

Flies will ship on the 15th. All flies are in, divided up, photo’d and repackaged. Just waiting for the Post Office to open.

Bassman, Grunt,

Your both in and welcome.

REE

Like a spot please, TBD.

RDL,

Welcome.

REE

dang you.
I want some.

Well get on in here and get some. Glad to have ya aboard Mr. Blur. Big plus, you don’t have to meister this one.

REE

Ron,
I’ll get in. I’ll let you know what I’m tying as soon as I decide.
Steve

May I have a spot? Will have to choose patterns

I’d like to tie a #16 Blue Belly soft hackle for the wingless and a #10 Mallard Minnow for the winged. I hope these will fit the swap.

my flies will be Tups Indispensible and a copy of something i got in raffle. no one has ever identified it; i think they came out of a bunch of stuff that someone got after someone else passed away. the ones i have are really old–it may be hard to match the hook. anyway i’m going to make some so it gets some publicity. pond bass love it. for now, lets call it a Blue-Wing Raffle

I’ll tie my version of the western coachman & tba

IBRB and Biot Midge, Welcome to the madness.

Only two open spots left.

REE

Ok I will do a Wild Turkey winged wet and a turkey soft hackle.
Both work well for march browns

Wet

any spots left?..if so, count me in…patterns tbd…thanks, Jason
