tomrrow I'll try using the right fly

I was looking for bluegills today with a size 12 rubber legged wooly bugger with very little luck when I caught a nice crappie. Fourteen fish later from that same spot I gave up on fighting the increasing wind without ever changing the fly that was working. I’ll have to go back there tomorrow when the forecast is for less wind and try a larger white marabou streamer. Of course, I’ll have the little wooly bugger along too.

14 fish from the same spot says you had the right fly the first time.

I was thinking the same thing. Have fun.

Change is good! That way you have lots of “Good” flies to use. Must have gotten boring catching so many crappie! Send some up here!

Mike, I endured the catching with great stoicism. The filleting less so. Unfortunately the eating was too much. I had to bring some cooked fillets to the ninety year old widow down the street to deal with it. nothing tastes better than fish that were still swimming less than two hours ago.
