We celebrate the single most important sentence ever written in the English language. “We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” From the beginning we as a nation have failed to live up to that creed but we have always struggled toward it. For that reason I could not be prouder to be a an American.

My use of the word is consistent with the definitions found in various sources, if you care to invest the time to look them up and give them some thought, and they go back long before the time whenever “this bounce of idiots came along” which I take you to mean some recent and current group of folks. Please correct me if I am wrong on that last point.
