Hello. Today, July 21st, marks the 109th anniversary of Ernest Hemingway’s birth. I plan to celebrate his day by reading “Big Two-Hearted River, pts. 1 and 2” as well as the trout fishing scene in “The Sun Also Rises” . . . saltwater fans, of course, have “The Old Man and the Sea” and the sea bass fishing scene in “The Garden of Eden”

Anyone else here, like me, inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s fish storytelling?

I read Big Two Hearted River back in high school English class & it really interested me in trout fishing and exporing the woods. I didn’t take it up for years afterward but that one story always interested me.
