For consumers who are interested in fly fishing from a kayak, the first step it to invest in a high-quality, well-known brand. If you have been in the market for some time, you will probably understand the difficulties of choosing just one from the many available models.
Thanks for the nice article. I personally have jumped into this kayak stuff with two feet and love it.
A little tip to add is that I bought YakAttack paddle holders and while they work great for holding the paddle, I also mount them next to me and they make for a great quick rod holder too.
These days you can buy a $200 kayak but there are specialty yaks available that have a very clean desk design that work well for flyfisherman. While I don’t own either one, I would love a Jackson Mayfly or a Nucanoe Pursuit. Both would make a wonderful fly fishing specific kayak.
Again, enjoyed the read. I’ll have to check out your blog.
