Tied a nice-looking streamer today....

Size 6, lead-wrapped hook shank, olive grizzly hackle twin tails (splayed out), natural deer hair over chartreuse deer hair over white deer hair. 3 strands chartreuse krystal flash (doubled over a couple times and cut), three strands of flashabou, and just enough red maribou at the throat to represent gills. I haven’t tank-tested or fished it yet.

Please excuse the grainy photo. My camera can’t take a close-up pics, so I used my oldest son’s iPod. I guess I needed more light.

Nice. Hope the field testing goes well and we get to see a pic of it in a fish’s mouth.

Regards,
Scott

Allen, actually the picture is real helpful in showing how the different elements blend together. I think it gives a good idea of the parts that really stand out and also the profile. I may be wrong but I think this might be more how it appears to the fish.

Tigfly, excellent point! I hadn’t even thought of how it would look in the water. It does blend together rather well in the pic.
