thread on "RW's 1 wgt club"

What happened to this thread??

Donald

Well its really quite simple, 1weights are not really useable rods and certainlly not what REAL FLYFISHERS would angle with, because of this they most certainlly have no place here on this board or for that matter on any stretch of water.

I am sure JC & LF agree, because the thread is gone right… Back me up here guys…
RW himself most likely thought about how
useless these 1wg side show souvenirs are and deleted the post himself… I am not one to blame him if he did as well as disbanded his 1wg club of misfits…

…just FYI…STEVE…I deleted my post as it hadn’t had any activity for a couple of days and I don’t like cluttering the board!

JC or LF would certainly delete this post if I continued writing…what an uninformed, arrogant, contemptible statement…

Jim

Steve - I used to know a fellow like you - don’t anymore. Don’t take the time for that now. 'Nuff said.

Donald

This could turn into a very interesting thread. I thought that we were going to be good while JC and LF were gone. 8T

You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it’s a real short camping season.

Beadleech, jsentell and Ray,

I believe that you have taken a skillfully presented bait. Do we use bait on a Fly Fishing BB? 8T

Of course I am just kidding! Come on.
I enjoy you guys, just stirring the pot A
little.

No bait eighter just trying to lighten up
some of the more serious concerns on this
very good board… I do not beleve in baiting
a thread or posting such for responses.

Beadleech, jsentell and Ray, Gents ,I appoligize if you got your feathers ruffeled.
Now lets have some fun! What is a 1wg for anyway…? LOL

Anyone that doesn’t like the 1wt that they own can send it to me. I’ll give it a good home.

I feel like helping someone out.

Ken

There is a fine line between fly fishing and and just standing in a river looking like and idiot.

i would send you mine, but found it works well as a tooth pick

Whew - If everyone in the bars was as touchy as some on the internet - I’d have a black eye all the time. Maybe I’m not as funny as I think I am…

Good’un Steve…

Steve…
You are too obvious in your baiting! Be devious like me.

When you want to go for fun,
Chuck that five and fish a one!

Whew I do feel better now!

Thanks!

Steve,

Funny, funny, funny.

If you know what you are doing, then a 1 weight can be a valuable weapon.

Steve M, RW here

I’d say calling 1-weight users a “bunch of misfits” is a personal attack. You might have to answer for that. Kidding and apology notwithstanding, you can’t put toothpaste back in the tube once it’s out. You may have just shot yourself in the foot without any help from anyone. Oh sorry, I forgot, your foot is in your mouth.

Micus: And you’d look real fashionable on a classic headwaters trout stream with chest waders, a 9-weight and a gaff. I’m laughing just thinkin about it.

jsentell, I need the name of that book and the author that wrote about the light tackle fly fishing again. Wanted to order it, but you deleted the post before I wrote it down. I forgot and when I went back it was gone. Thanks.

RW - The book is Catching Big Fish On Light Fly Tackle by Tom Wendelburg. My copy was published by The Univ. Of Wisc. Press in 2001.

8 Thumbs - you gave SM a way out of his hoof-in-mouth; that was very nice of you. I prob wouldn’t have done. But that is jes’ me.

Donald

Hey RW,

Beadleech got it…however, I sugested you get it from Alibris (www.alibris.com), it was only $8.44 plus shipping instead of $19.95. One of our office assistants here at the Academy uses them constantly for texts and other books for her son; saves a ton of money. And…what is saving for?..more fly tackle!!!

Devil’s Ditch…are you REALLY 360 years old? If it’s not a typo, you must really be wrinkled…

Time for sensitivity training!

I thought it was a hoot. Lighten up fellers. There are bigger ‘fish’ to fry…

Maybe it’s just my thick skin (or thick head)—

MFTG

MFTG, RW again,

In my case it’s small fish and trophy places.

I got to tell you all I can not stop
laughing on this one!
