Thread Carousel

I thought I would do a test run to see if there is any interest before I make more. I have 3 solid oak, satin finished, hand crafted thread carousel that I would like to offer for sale. They hold 84 spools - 21 on each side plus 9 spots on top for various tying tools. They are 11 1/2 high by 4 1/2 square, each spool pin is 1 1/4 long. They fit nicely on your tying bench and organizing your thread and spooled material so they are at your finger tips.

Each will be sold for $50.00 + shipping - money orders or personal checks. Will ship UPS or USPS which ever is cheaper. If interested send me a PM.

This may sound stupid, 'cuz I think I can see it, but do they rotate/spin?

Yes, there is a 4 inch carousel between the base and the tower giving you 360 rotation.

NO!! No, no, no!! Do not look!! Acchhhh! This goes strongly in the I WANT IT category, but I do not need! Run away!

Professor, those are some beautiful carousels! WOW!

I’m with Betty - beautiful. Someone should love these.

oh, be still, my beating heart! someone actually has as many thread spools as i…off to the bean keeper to ask for an early Easter egg.

I didn’t want one OR need one…until I SAW THE PICTURE! Those are awesome!

Pardon me while I have an “internal struggle”.

Those are nicely done and have enough room for more than just a handful of thread. I like them, you should do well selling those and the price point seems reasonable enough considering what else is on the market. Good luck to you.

Oh, h*ll! I told the devil to get behind me, so he did … and now he’s typing in my computer!!! Noooooooooo…

Ummm … PM sent!

Professor, PM sent Thurs pm. Mike

It arrived today…Packed like it was supposed to survive a nuclear blast. Which is a good thing, I had to uncrumple the other package I got today to be able to show them the “Fragile Handle with Care” stamp.

Put it on the counter, was just home for lunch, looks as good in real life as in the pictures. Nicely done.

those are nice!!! how long will you be making those?

Mine arrived Monday, and it’s beautiful!! Going through all the AR steps to organizing it now. It’s a wonderful addition to my tying desk!

Professor,

I sent you a PM.

Larry —sagefisher—

I got mine on Monday and it is FANTASTIC!! Thanks, Professor.
Mike

Inner struggle resolved. PM sent. Hope I can get on the list for your next batch? :o)
I’m not saying its Betty’s fault…I’m just gonna blame her. ;o)

Professor,

Do you ever make them with the top hinged so the inside can be used for extra storage?

Mine goes into an RV. So I’m going to try to put a rubber band over two rows of spools, two per side, total 8. Should keep the spools on even if turned over.

Interesting the comment about the hinge…first thought when I held it was…Hmmm if it was hinged on the side you could put sparkles on the inside. One corner hinge with the latch? on the diagonal on the bottom, a few cuphooks on the inside walls.

Course we’d tinker with anything…never sated.

Once the weather breaks I am head for the stream and the workshop closes for a while. Looks like at least another month before that will happen so I will keep puttering around at night.

I like the hinged top idea, back to the drawing board and do a design change. I toyed with the hing on the side but never took the time to experiment with it. These ideas will have to go on my list of thing to try.

I’d like to be put on the waiting list please.
Mike
