Does anyone else have the same issue with this particular Forum format?
For the umpteenth time I’ve spend a considerable chunk of time answering or commenting on a post when I accidently hit that stupid blue Post New Thread Button above the reply box.
THAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED!!! I know it says Post NEW THREAD…but my brain isn’t registering it and it takes actually thought to avoid clicking it. My brain reads Post New Thread in that spot as Post Reply. It’s just bad placement. There must be a way to delete that one button from that spot on the program or change it to a reply button. If not that…a way to back up and get what was lost.
I’m so frustrated at the current moment…after spending another 45 minutes on a reply only to see it go POOF that I’m of the mind to just not post anymore.
Deb,
If it bothers you, it bothers me. Can it be changed? Only the powers that be can answer that but if it precludes you from posting, that would be a great loss for me as well as the board. I haven’t been caught by that gremlin yet but I understand your frustration. Hey RON - can it be rectified? I usually post Quick Replies like this so np.
after you have read all of the posts in the thread, all you have to do is click on the “reply” button in the lower right hand area of the last post. then you type your reply and click on the “post quick reply” button. there is no blue “reply to thread” at the bottom of the page.
It hasn’t been a problem for me either (yet).
Did I mention I’m actually a chimpanzee in a scientific research facility outside of Los Alamos? They moved our laboratory headquarters out of Roswell after an unfortunate event involving me, a roadside diner, a humorless waitress, and a straw. The good news is there’s a faster internet connection here in our new digs.
So now I’m working on my latest opus…a work of literary genius if I do say so. Can anybody hook me up with Oprah to help plug the finished text? “101 Uses of a Banana Peel…the Less-Privileged Primate’s Answer to Duct Tape.”
I HAVE had those situations where you type a long response, and then hit something wrong, and the whole thing disappears. Its more common when I use a laptop computer. You just LOOK at those things and buttons start to click!
