Last weekend, I found out that I won the October drawing for the Gary LaFontaine video tapes. I got an email from Ladyfisher requesting my address so they could send them out. I replied, and Ladyfisher answered back right away. She said JC would send them out on Monday.
I was really excited by this, as I’m a fan of Gary LaFontaine. I had met him when he was still alive, and he really impressed me with his knowledge and friendly demeanor.
I figured it would take over a week for the tapes to get here, since they had to travel nearly all the way across the US. Imagine my surprise when they showed up (along with a beautiful FAOL patch) on WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON! This boggles my mind that they could have made it here that fast.
Thanks again, JC & LF - these tapes are priceless to me, and they’ll be enjoyed again and again.
