The FOTW is an intriguing pattern and I wonder how it might work on other species. It isn’t likely I will ever have a chance to fly fish for tarpon but the fly looks like it should work on muskies and pike.
Guess I’ll tie up a few and give it a try. Maybe some weighted and unweighted versions as a test.

Rick I had the same thought except I will downsize the fly to about a #4 or #2 and give it a try on crappie as well as LMB. With that long shank it might prove easier to remove the hook without excess damage to the fish.

Great idea. I think in smaller sizes it will be good for LMB and crappies. I’ll give that a try also.
