Sunburst & Golden Olive

This started out as a muddler, hence the bushy body hackle, but when sorting out feathers for the shoulder, I found a partridge that looked nice alongside the chukar so I ended up here.

hook - WFF Model 6 #10
thread - Uni 8/0 fire orange
tail - golden pheasant tippet dyed hot orange (1 Tbs Rit Golden Yellow, 1/4 Tsp Rit Scarlet/1 cup water)
rib - small wire gold
body - dubbing dyed sunburst (1 Tbs Rit Golden Yellow/1 cup water)
body hackle - dyed sunburst
1st shoulder - chukar dyed golden olive (2 Tsp Rit Golden Yellow, 1/4 Tsp Rit Camel/2 cups water)
2nd shoulder - partridge dyed golden olive

Scott

Muddled Sunburst & Golden Olive

Left enough space up front to add the ungulate. The caribou was dyed as an afterthought; not enough dye left in the bath to get the deeper tone of the shoulders.
