streamside yesterday

Also a daytime sighting of a beaver, lots of wild turkeys and I even caught trout.

Very nice pics. I really like some of those flies. Have you considered doing some for the FotW? The Visible Fur Ant looks great!
Thanks for including a few pictures of Butterfly in there.

Ed, I didn’t realize that I had a slide show there. I thought I was just posting the one picture but no harm done and anyone is welcome to look at anything I have on a public space like photobucket. Many of the flies are from a swap I hosted a couple of years ago. The visible fur ant is mine and is very easy to tie. Just fold a section of pearlescent grey ghost crystal flash several times to make a post that is tied in like a parachute post about 5/8 of the way up the hook. Then go back to the bend and dub your abdomen as usual. Tie in a hackle and wind a two turns on each side of the post and then dub a thorax before tying off and whip finishing. I cut off the bottom of the hackle to make it float a little lower. Butterfly is in the dog house for destroying the gate on her dog run but I will give her a a little petting from you anyway.

Nice pictures my question is what stream?

That’s the White River where we were going to fish last September before the weather forecast went bad. It is running a little high this year but fishing pretty good.

Rainbowschaser, I have every confidence that being in the dog house with you exceeds the best care that some dogs get. Every dog should have such a good home.
