The pictures below are some goodies that I have been stocking up on and finding some new patterns in the making…
Click them to make them larger to view better. Enjoy and feel free to give feedback. Even after 30 years of experience…there is always something to learn daily. Happy viewing.
Thank you for all of your comments. Still learning new techniques and tricks, but many years of hard work and frustration to get to this point. Even after 30 years of tying…if anyone has any thoughts about how to do something better, please comment and let me know! It’s the only way for me to become a better fly tier! Thanks!
As far as they joining of the hooks. I use a 30 pound poly coated steel leader material. I believe it’s Berkley that I use. They come in about 15 feet per spool and cost a couple dollars so it makes a nice tandem wire but it’s cheap too Dave.
Yes, I use these on Lake Winnipesaukee as well as Merrymeeting Lake. Great patterns for both Salmon and Lake Trout. I caught this fish last year on a Single Hook Grey Ghost Size #8…was a great fight!
Welcome aboard eriksflys; I’m not far from yah, Sanford. I also tie tandem streamers, for the trolling guys around here. Any time you want to get together PM me. I fish mostly Great East, (nice LL and bows)
I have many more flies that I have tied recently and will be happy to share. Especially a pattern of mine that I created a while ago…back in 1991 I believe. I will post later as I am replying on my break. You’ll love it too! Thank you for the kind words. I’m still learning, still practicing…can never know too much with fly tying. ha, ha.
