The Internet, and posting boards, like this one and so many others ARE as mentioned sheer “mine fields”, when people post things to discuss, make comments on, and/or, share their opinions with others.
Since facial expressions, tones of one’s voice, etc, CANNOT be seen, or, heard, when merely “typing away”, it’s naturally, IMPOSSIBLE to truly detect someone’s “true meaning” at any given time.
Yes, we ALL make mistakes, on this crazy and insane “cyber highway” but that’s just LIFE and you learn to deal with it, apologize if need be and then “keep on truck’in” to the best of our abilities!!
If people are “offended, upset, ticked off or angry”, due to another’s way of “saying something, not politically correct”… then in my own opinion, they would be better off, staying OFF the Internet all together.
I’m sure, I know, exactly what “you’re apologizing for”, and that’s cool. Mistakes are made, and they can be corrected so don’t worry about it.
You’re a lady of obvious great integrity and class. When you felt you made a mistake, you immediately corrected that mistake and then apologized for it.
THAT, shows, class, integrity and honesty and you can’t GET any better than that!!
Some threads, on here, shouldn’t even BE started to begin with, if the poster isn’t going to follow through with them, and/or, can’t handle others disagreeing with them.
As, in, any well constructed “family” and FAOL is a perfect example of this, "Members get upset with one another, say things maybe they shouldn’t say, then when apologies are made and “the smoke clears’ we all gone on, caring for and understanding one another, like a fine family should”.
You’re a great person, Your Royal Highness and I’ve never, even, met you! But, then again I don’t have to, to make that judgment either!

I am certain that if you ever step on my toes I deserve it! Should I ever offend you to that point I expect a full blown stomping on my toes!

Betty, I beleive I know the thread you are referring to. I am sure that no one was offended by your comments. The thread is gone now, so it does not hurt anyone.
