And these are what I came up with. I saw some inspiration at FTF. I’ll post the recipe’s if anybody is interested.
Thanks, nb

NB,
Both flies are well done, though I prefer the one on the shorter shanked hook, but thats just me.
Biot bodies work great on emergers, nice segmentation. How about the rest of the recipe.

Thanks Ron. I’m partial to the long shanked one, but that’s purely aesthetics on my part. To each his own.
Fly #1
Tail: Wood Duck Flank
Body: Olive goose biot
Thorax (in left to right order): Dazl Hare’s Ear Dubbing - Rust Brown (Basically Hare’s ear mixed with a little Antron I think), Hare’s Ear Dubbing, Natural Dun CDC dubbing (I just stripped the fibers off of a feather and dubbed them to the thread. Works nicely).
Poof: Natural Dun CDC feather
Fly #2
Tail: Wood Duck
Body: Olive goose biot
Thorax (in left to right order): Nat. Dun CDC feather, Dazl Dubbing - Rust Brown, Hare’s Ear Dubbing, Nat. Dun CDC feather.
Antennae: Wood Duck
Very nice NB,
While both are great, I personally like the short shank as well.
