Abdomen: Tan turkey biot
Thorax cover: Deer hair, brought through wing to split the bunch.
Wing: A little soft dubbing and deer hair in split thread. Tease it upward as you wind it.

They look nice! A friend of mine ties one similar with poly yarn splitting the hair. Swears by it. Looks like you’re on to something.
