are there any good online sites with a large selection of tying materials that would not be considered the norm… ie speciality ribbing, tinsel flosses, body materials etc.

yes

they are called craft stores or craft departments in the local big box store

dollar stores also provide unusual materials

Not sure anyone carries more than Bob Marriott’s. I go there a good bit and they seem to carry most suppliers stuff. I know if I can’t find where I can buy something wholesale they will most likely have it.
