Spawning Colors

Post-spawn cutts can’t be beat.

All lit up; very pretty.

Your flickr pic isn’t coming through on my computer, maybe others’ also ??

Anyway, here is an assist from one of the most colorful West Slope cutts I’ve caught this year …

Maybe you will be fortunate to hook up with one of his cousins later this week ??!!

John

Working now, John?

And here’s where I caught him.

Got it, Patrick.

Purty fish.

Outstanding country.

Not sure that I could concentrate on fishing if I was hiking through that drainage - but I’m thinking I really do need to try it.

John

Beautiful valley and great colors on the fish.

Maybe it’s the shadow on the valley, but that impresses me as a dangerous valley. How quickly can that flood when it rains in the mountains. What’s the probability of being caught my surprise? It is beautiful country, I really need to find a way to visit and fish in MT.

The river moves a lot (and with that, so do a lot of rocks). The river is in a different place every time I’m there.

I caught a really well colored one a couple of hours after we parted ways the other night, John. Then, of course, I missed the shot with the camera. But between the three bad photos, you get the idea…
