Something new to play with and make in flies

I have never seen this, except on the internet. But for us warm water and salt water fishermen and tyers, this would seem to have a lot of possibilities. Seem it comes from those folks down under, the Aussies, $10 plus $5 shipping for 100 grams.

Yes, I can see how having a little plastic man to hit with a hammer would be quite useful after stabbing myself with a hook point.

Pretty cool stuff!

I can see lots of applications for fly tying…

Thanks for sharing is.

Thanks Uncle Jesse! I showed this to a few people in my scooter group and the gear heads amount them saw the potential immediately and ordered some.

Interesting stuff, but I wonder what happens if you leave your project in a hot car?

I’m glad I was able to get all of those San Juan Worms and Egg Flies out of my fly box last summer.

Jay I was wondering the same thing since it reconstitutes…maybe the warm water fisherpersons should be careful.:rolleyes:

The melting point was 140 deg. F I think, which I a nice spring day in Phoenix. You might want to save a Styrofoam cooler for your stuff. Once it’s in the water I would assume everything is cool.

This stuff is available under various names. You can find domestic sellers on eBay of brands such as Simple-Plastic and InstaMorph. I haven’t tried it yet, but it looks like another entry on my “sometime soon” list.
