Designed for California’s Pacific Surf Zone. Un-tested. It is tied on a Eagle Claw #4 EC413 tinned hook and those bar bell eyes are called Crystal Eyes if I remember correctly. The Wing is silver-gray Iceabou. The extended body is part of a…, well, a very hot steelhead bait
This “Surf Fly” should hopefully catch something out there in those waves. Guess I’ll have to go find out.
The hot Chromesides bait is “Trout Wormz”. They say on the site:
"Designed for Rainbow Trout Fishing and has spread like wildfire across the nation as the number one fish catching machine in 2004. Lip RipperZ fishing tackle now offers 13 bright, new and exciting flourescent colors that completely demolish all of our competition. These baits not only catch Rainbow Trout, but also Brown Trout, Salmon, Steelhead, Crappie, Panfish and even Largemouth Bass!!! Trout Fishing has just become that much easier with Lip RipperZ Trout WormZ!!! No more watching the person next to you catching all the fish! Trust us, it?s the bait!!! Your probably wondering why generic Trout Worms don?t nearly work as well as Lip RipperZ Trout WormZ. We’ll tell you!!! "
You’ll have to google it, because I don’t feel right about showing hot links to non-sponsored sites.
Also- RE the fly-Those flash strands are Krinkle Flash strands to impart a shrimpy look to the fly.
Lastly-flyfisherjoe-Nope not epoxied. I used Uni-Stretch Pumpkin yarn and soaked it in CA followed by a coating of UV Knot sense.
