I have all of them - I think there are three.
I like the blockheads as they fish a bit differently than other poppers.
If anyone is wondering, I’ll probably trim back the rubber legs on the water. I want to see how they fish first.
Let the fish tell you. I think I’d like the additional movement. I guess as long as the fish like it, too.
Yep, that’s always the plan. I don’t trim until I see how things go.
Smallmouth bass? I like them though I would be tempted to do one in black for low light conditions like working my way back to the car at dusk.
Those look great classic Blockhead profile with really clean color transitions and nice movement built in. The bright foam and mixed fibers should pop well on the surface and still push water nicely.

…the only one that looks like that anymore is the black one - it didn’t produce a lot of fish. The others all got beat up, and even chewed on by pike…
