Sorry… pretty ambiguous post on my part…actually, that was meant as a compliment.
I tie to fish with my flys…nothing more. Some who received my flys in a swap could attest to that!
I took it as a compliment. I have seen your flies and they are very good.

Does nobody have a PC of some kind on their desk? My ancient laptop sits at mine, (I am sitting at my tying desk right now) so I can take advantage of the excellent tying instruction on FAOL.

I used to… but I had to keep cleaning it out the fans kept sucking dubbing & feathers in side the computer

My main computer desk is just to the right of the tying table. I have purchased a lap top that if there is room I put on the table and use the CD on tying patterns I got from Steve (much thanks by the way). Wife has informed me to get my table back to looking like this…or else.

When my older monitor died, I spent the extra $$$ and bought a Samsung SynMaster 170N. The monitor panel is about 2" deep, with the base about 7" deep.
You can put it right in the middle of your desk, look at patterns, or the ‘BB’ and tye. My computer is below my desk in its own compartment.

I showed my 14 year old digit head daughter the photo of your setup. Let’s just say you have a fan. :smiley: I once had a two monitor set up, but it drove the better half crazy. I loved it.

Tell her it used to be 4 - 20" screens. One just went out on me…all it takes is a couple of Really Fast video cards & she’s in business :smiley:

Yes. It’s actually a woodworker’s bench. I got the plans from “This old house” or one of those PBS programs about 12-15 years ago. There’s a woodworker’s vise on the far side that you can’t see, but comes in very handy to hold the cork grip and reel seats while the epoxy dries.
