This is my setup all the tying supplies stays in the Maroon boxes below as in the tower on the below right in the lower portion of the desk, I know exactly where everything is and how much of it I have. Lots of time on my hands so i have inventory of all tying supplies. :shock:

I converted the laundry room in to my tying room and moved the washer and dryer out into the garage. My wife is very cool. Of course it has not been that clean since the picture.
als I know is that all those desks are way too clean.
I’ve got a mess in the tying den, a mess o\in the tying tray on the tv table in the living room, a stack of various feathers and other materials on the low bookcase beside it. and scraps on the floor of the den and living room.
good thing my wife loves me.
fish4trout, thats a great set-up…look at all that cabinet space for storage, you should be able to find anything your looking for. Which to me is the worst part of tying. Getting everything together before you start…I know I have some of that stuff where the hell did I put it!!!
buckeyfly, you need to change the size of your photos. You stretched the Webb page soooooo large everyone has to scroll just to read the threads. Before you upload your pic’s you have to save them in a smaller size. I usually save mine at a width of 504 pixels X a height of 360 pixels that should give you a picture of about 5"x7" which fits nicely on a web page. I also save them in a .jpg format at a resolution of anywhere from 72 - 150 that way the file is small. Just FYI of course but it does make it easier for everyone. Nice tying area BTW, I like a lot of space also…

yea you probably wouldn’t want to my flies look like do do but they do catch fish. infact going today and if it is any good will take some pics. My bench is in my pump house/music room/ camping room/ fly room. Wife says she is going to clean it up and set it up just for rod building and fly tying yea right.
Sorry… pretty ambiguous post on my part…actually, that was meant as a compliment.
I tie to fish with my flys…nothing more. Some who received my flys in a swap could attest to that!

that looks just like my bench, which is in my room. i’ve dedicated my room to tying. i can’t see my bench, or other desk, yes i have two desks. where else would i keep that second vise? I have a thread rack nailed to the wall, along with a tin FF’ing sign. I’ve pretty much taken my closet over too. I try to clean it all, but i can’t keep up.
