I don’t even fish in saltwater, but am I the only one that read Dave Micus’ story this week? I can’t even imagine what it would have been like to catch a big honkin fish like that.

Biggest fish so far from the brine in 05 has been 2lbs (probably nearer 1?lbs).

I vaguely recall a picture of a spinfisher in car park and a 50lb (ish) striper caught from a NJ estuary last year. That hog looked big enough; one can only imagine…

A good read and another example of why you should always bring a 1 wt with you.

I read the 2nd part of that article about McReynolds several months ago in one of the “salt” magazines. Poor Guy!!!
