Well being trapped inside due to the snow, I got to tying. Managed to make an al’s foam hopper in green, green with tnt legs, and black with tnt legs.(middle top)
Then a foam damsel fly with trico wings cut out of a sheet, with a dragonfly next to it with a copper wire wrap around the foam in the bottom left.
The ant on the right I don’t have a name for yet.
And the marabou leech on the bottom right is my super sucka leech.

If you would tie up a dozen or so of each type, you would have sufficient flies to share with your friends on FAOL-----like me. Just a thought

Well fly binder, two words: Lead Wire.
It doesn’t bother the floating at all, and it gives it a louder smack when it hits the water. Not to mention makes it heavy enough to not give me any twists. Though my habit of snagging branches does that enough.
I can usually cast all day and keep a fly (especially a dry) unless I snag something underwater. my cousin will cast over any log or into any tree in site! lol I don’t get it. I just use enough fly line to get the fly to where I want it. then I keep it there. I usually cast the line all the way to my reel. it keeps me from overcasting into brush like him I guess. anyways those flys will catch some fish for sure. especially the hoppers, cricket, and leech!!! killed stuff on um last year!!! but I am also sure the rest will work too!
