I second Charlie’s Flybox. He’s got a great tutorial. I’ve thought of cementing the zonker on top for additional durability, but haven’t made any in the last week or so to try it out.

If you’re the type that likes to have a book in front of you, the original pattern is available w/ great step-by-step photos and instructions in John Barr’s book Barr Flies. That’s where I started from, though I’ll admit to having modified my version a bit since then.
Hey Tim, the DVD with John and Jack Dennis that I picked up at the shop has the slump buster and other John Barr flies. I really like to see it first before I start to something new. By the way they worked good on the wipers last night. I had to use them after the wipers, and the ROCK bass broke off all of the black wolly buggers I had.
I would also recommend John Barr’s book. It has the Slumpbuster, Copper John and other patterns. Well worth it.
