Tied on a swivel snell for maximum end-to-end undulation while minimizing short-strikes. Among black olive and tan the rainbows seem to prefer tan while the browns prefer black. I’m not certain of that yet. But it does seem that way. I’m headed out right now. Cloudy day with minimal wind. And the BWOs are hatching. I’ll do at least a little streamer/leeching. But it will be hard to resist the itty bitties.
Interesting. Have you ever tried curly tails?
I have tried curly tails (cut them off Mr Twister Tails).
I make my own because I like to embed the spawn sack netting (to make it more durable, even when extra-thin).
But you can fasten factory made tails. Use flat waxed nylon and wrap VERY LOOSELY. Use barely enough tension
to dimple the soft plastic, but not so much you cut into it. Then use CA or UV glue, soaked into the thread wraps, to make the real attachment.
