hook - Dai Riki 320 #16
thread - Gudebrod 10/0 yellow/olive
rib - x-small wire gold
shuck - Congo Hair tan/cream/orange
tail/rear abdomen - ostrich herl tan
front abdomen - dubbing PMD
hackle - hen light dun

Part 1

mash barb, start thread one eye width back from eye; tie in hackle by tip

tie in rib, wrap to bend

tie in a couple strands of each color of CH, fold and wrap to bend; trim (gap width)

measure (shank) a few ostrich herls; tie in

twist around thread, take a few wraps; tie off/trim

Part 2

dub thread/dub to hackle

counterwrap rib, helicopter end/cover with thread

sweep hackle fibers back while wrapping, tie off/trim; half hitch x 2, SHHAN

supposed to be more of a slowwater pattern, worth a swing in the side channel to the right; PMDs start coming off when the trico spinners peter out
