Matt- you can’t go wrong with blanks from Mike Brooks - give him a call or send an email to him for more info - he builds the best Payne tapers I have thrown, and his own designed Mckenzie taper is terrific.

Another really good rod maker that has a great price on his blanks is Tim Zietak…he is making me a Leonard 39 H right now. there are a lot of good makers out there…if you go with Mike Brooks, ask him about his green bamboo blanks…they look really cool.
