Got out on Monday for the first flyfishing of September. Beautiful day, not too hot. Breezier than expected at times. Stepped on a nail that buried into my shoe, but somehow didn’t reach my foot. Saw a Woodchuck/Groundhog swim across the creek. And a Cicada landed on my hat. Caught about 20 fish of 7 species. Here’s some of them.32" Grass Carp:White Bass:Freshwater Drum:Largemouth Bass:Hybrid Sunfish:

Nice Grass Carp Dave. Dennis

Dave,Heck of a nice selection of fish to catch and that Carp must have put up a heck of a fight. I have never ‘targeted’ Carp, but I have caught a few on some rivers up here in the northwest, the biggest one was 11 pounds and it seriously taxed my 6 weight fly rod before I got it to the boat. They are great fighters. Thanks for the photos.Larry —sagefisher—

Thanks fellas!

They are a lotta fun, aren’t they? Just look at the size of that tail!! I landed 2… a 3rd one ran down the creek and got me snagged up on something. It didn’t feel like a fish was on anymore, so I ended up having to break my line. Clever buggers. Here was the 2nd one:
