Sebastian, FL---HELP

I will be in Sebastion,FL toward the end of this month and into early Mar. I do not know anything about the fishing there, so any words would be pearls of wisdom and greatly appreciated. Can anybody help me?
Thank you in advance. gerry l.

While you are waiting for someone from the area to chime in you could take a look here; [url=http://outdoorsbest.zeroforum.com/zeromain?id=1:930b5]http://outdoorsbest.zeroforum.com/zeromain?id=1[/url:930b5]
The last time I went to Florida I found a lot of good info on this site.

IIRC at the inlet there is a jetty. Some folks are pretty successful there. Also if you do a Goggle search you can find a camera online that take a picture of the jetty area 24/7 and gives the weather conditions. I watched it during the hurricanes two years ago.

“PC” is for Plant City not Politically Correct. if you wanna catch something ya gotta get a hook in the water

Thanks for the input. It looks like they are coming out of a long slump. I’ll be on my way next week. Thanks again.

Gerry, there is a state park at the inlet. Go into the park and go to the back opposite the Atlantic. There is a boat ramp there. All out behind the ramp is a very nice area of flats. Also, drive south of the inlet on A1A and on the west side there are a lot of places to pull off and fish those flats.

Gerry,

Sebastion Inlet is one of the fishiest places I have ever seen in my whole life. I was there is July but the I have never seen anything like it. Baitfish were almost permanently pinned and regularly attached against the the pier at the state park. The riprap at the inlet itself offered good access to fast water. As the Dude said, explore pull-offs and dirt roads on A1A. There’s an unbelievable amount of untouched fishable water there. Go for it! 8T

You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it’s a real short camping season.

Thank you all. I will report when I get bck home.
