Went fishing after work in the morning, with a fishing buddy. The gills were scattered, but we were able to land a few. My fishing buddy used clousers & poppers. I caught all of mine on a Black Zulu on a 4 wt. This 9" gill hit hard.

Nice Gill…Early fall can be feast or famine.

Hoping it’ll be a feast. They’ll have to fatten up for the winter.

I enjoy evenings as fall closes in…I catch my largest gills then. Good luck and ENJOY!

Nice fish. I am getting very few gills right now. Many more crappie.
