This is basically a float tube question: Does anyone know of a brand of sandals that are designed to fit over the neoprene-feet of waders? I have often been faced with the problem of walking to the water with my float tube – not exactly a hike, but farther (and rougher) than I care to walk in just the wader feet.
I’m thinking sandals because of easy on-and-off and ease of storage in my tube’s small “locker.”
I reject out of hand any suggestion that I wear my fins and walk backward.
Paul,
Do you want them to put flippers over or just to walk to the water in then take off and stow? I wear slip on sandles I got at big 5 for about 15 bucks Just 2 buckle straps across the top of the foot and no heel strap. Just gett’em big enough to fit the neoprene stocking.
When I coached soccer, a bunch of the guys used this type sandal to wear when they were walking around in sock feet before they put their cleats on. If you oversize them a size, you should be able to get them over a neoprene stocking foot.
Thanks, guys. All the sandals I own are max size and are not big enough to fit over neoprene-feet, but the Adidas Slides come as large as sizes 14 and 15, so I ought to be in business with one of those those. I’m so glad I posted here, and I’m so glad you folks were so helpful. Thanks a heap!
